How to open the Advanced Startup Options menu in Windows 8 and Windows 8.1

The Advanced Startup Options menu is used to access all the tools that are provided for diagnosting, repairing, reseting, or rehreshing Windows 8 or Windows 8.1. From there you can choose some of the offered modes to boot the Windows, such as Safe mode, Low-resolution mode, debugging mode etc.

Method 1: From your PC settings:

1. Open the Settings menu from the charms tab from the right top corner:

Then choose Change PC settings from the bottom of the menu:

Next, open the General menu, and click the Restart now button under Advanced startup:

After your computer restarts, Advanced Startup Options menu will appear.
